A well-maintained home saves money, prevents costly repairs, and protects your investment. Regular upkeep helps systems last longer, keeps your family safe, and boosts resale value. Here’s a seasonal breakdown to stay on top of it all:

Spring

  • Inspect roof, gutters, and downspouts for winter damage

  • Power wash siding, deck, and walkways

  • Service A/C system before hot weather

  • Check grading around foundation to prevent water damage

Summer

  • Stain/seal deck and outdoor wood surfaces

  • Clean dryer vent and exhaust ducts

  • Inspect windows/doors for gaps and reseal if needed

  • Test GFCI outlets and outdoor lighting

Fall

  • Clean gutters and downspouts

  • Service furnace before winter

  • Drain and store garden hoses, shut off outdoor faucets

  • Check attic insulation and weatherstripping

Winter

  • Test smoke & carbon monoxide detectors

  • Inspect plumbing for leaks and add pipe insulation if needed

  • Touch up interior paint and drywall

  • Plan next year’s maintenance or remodel projects
